Design and material quality

The entire Astra system is made entirely of aluminum and genuine carbon fiber, making it extremely durable and optimally balanced at the same time. The new design approach from Cube Controls gives both versions a modern, motorsport-inspired look with clear buttons and strong lines. The premium version goes one step further and relies on CNC-milled aluminum knobs, thumb encoders and 7-way switches, giving each control element particularly rich, precise mechanical feedback.

Ergonomics and grip

The completely redesigned silicone grips with a new texture give you perfect grip and exceptional comfort in both versions, even in longer stints. The optimized shape gives you a natural hand position, clear control in curves and direct feedback. The Astra Premium also benefits from an even finer button layout and ergonomically perfected CNC components for more precise inputs.

Operation and control

Both models come with new buttons, improved pressure characteristics and faster electronics. The new PCB design and the high-speed chip ensure extremely short response times and maximum precision for every input. The Astra relies on standard thumb encoders and standard switches, while the premium version with CNC-manufactured switches, encoders and premium 7-way switches offers an even clearer, more defined operating feel and also has the hub already integrated.

Shifter and clutch technology

The newly developed shifter and clutch modules are fast, quiet and incredibly precise in both versions. With carbon paddles, short shifting movements and optimized damping, you get a motorsport-like feeling with every gear change. The integrated dual clutches enable perfect race starts thanks to the launch control system. The premium model also uses a custom force clutch system for even finer dosage and a more professional feel.
